Find WC Now uses browser storage for language, search, installation, privacy choice and offline use.

Private, independent service

Find WC Now is not an official website, public authority or service of the City of Vienna, the Republic of Austria or any other public body. It is not operated, represented, supported or endorsed by them. “Official data” refers only to the source of the OGD dataset and does not make Find WC Now an official service.

Google Analytics 4 loads in advanced consent mode. Without consent, Find WC Now sets or reads no Analytics cookies, but cookieless signals may still be sent to Google.

Current inventory

“looop-language”: selected language until cleared. “looop-place-search-v1”: up to 30 place searches, at most 30 days. “looop-install-dismissed-until”: normally 7 days, or 24 hours after browser prompt dismissal. “looop-installed”: install state until cleared.

“klofinder-storage-notice-v1”: storage-notice acknowledgement until cleared. “klofinder-consent-v1”: Analytics accept/reject until changed or cleared. Cache Storage “find-wc-now-v10”: app files until update or browser cleanup.

Purposes and necessity

Language and search cache support requested use; install state avoids repeated prompts; Cache Storage supports PWA/offline use. Notice acknowledgement is not automatically essential and is not treated as Analytics consent.

External services

Cloudflare, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim and, after your click, Google or email providers may use cookies, logs or device storage under their own policies. Find WC Now cannot remove those providers’ storage from its own controls.

Optional Analytics storage

Before consent, `analytics_storage` remains denied: Google Analytics does not set or read Analytics cookies, but may send cookieless signals for basic and modelled measurement. After consent, Analytics may set “_ga” and “_ga_<ID>” cookies; Find WC Now caps their lifetime at twelve months.

The choice is stored as “klofinder-consent-v1” and can be changed through “Privacy settings”. Withdrawal stops future cookie-based measurement and removes accessible Analytics cookies for this domain.

Delete or block

Clear or block local storage, cookies, site data, permissions and cache in Chrome, Brave, Safari or OS settings. This can affect language, search, installation and offline use.
